Pet of the Week

Pet of the Week

This boy is golden ... a gorgeous golden Labrador retriever mix, he also has spectacular golden eyes. This happy, high-energy dog is a young adult male, about 2 or 3 years old. He loves toys and is really great with children of all ages, even quite small ones. He’s sweet-natured, very gentle and well-mannered, and has already been neutered, vaccinated and microchipped. He will make a great family dog, and would also be an excellent hiking/running partner. He needs to go to a home with a good, secure fence. This unusual gold-colored dog with the matching eyes turns heads everywhere he goes. Please consider bringing this terrific fellow home and help keep this big smile on his face. Also available are many kittens and also some adult cats that are down on their luck, but who still love humans. The shelter is open Monday through Thursday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., and on alternate Fridays. They will be closed this Friday. Right now, the shelter desperately needs Purina or Iams kitten food and Iams puppy food. They also need Purina or Pedigree adult dog food, liquid laundry soap and big rawhide chews to keep the dogs (including this one) occupied. Ask how you can be a shelter volunteer even for just one hour a week. For more information, call the shelter at 565-4910.
