This is an open letter to Pat S. Degagne-Rule and Russell Wasley.
For good reason, Colorado Constitution, Article XXVIII, Section 3, Number 6 forbids one candidate from receiving contributions from or giving contributions to another candidate or their committee.
However, per public record (https://tracer.sos.colorado.gov) on May 11, 2012, Patricia S. Degagne of Cortez, Colo., contributed $50 to the Committee to Re-Elect Russell Wasley for District Attorney. While this amount is nominal, it is illegal.
It seems that both Wasley and Degagne-Rule have broken campaign finance law and violated the Colorado Constitution. Perhaps theyd like to explain why they are deserving of our vote.
