Handwoven rug store opens on Main Avenue in downtown Durango

Nadeem Mull began selling rugs in 1980s in New Mexico
Nadeem Mull, owner of Durango Rug Co., stands in his recently-opened store at 747 Main Ave. Durango Rug Co. sells an assortment of handwoven rugs made in India, Pakistan, Afghanistan, Turkey and Iran.
Durango Rug Company sells a line of Navajo-inspired rugs handwoven in Pakistan. The rugs sell for a fraction of the price of those made by Native American artisans.
In addition to oriental and Navajo-inspired rugs, Durango Rug Company offers home decor items, including handwoven baskets and pillowcases.
