The Dolores Christmas Bazaar will be held Saturday, Dec. 2, from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Dolores Community Center.
“I’ve been putting on the bazaar for 26 years. It’s a really friendly, festive local tradition,” said organizer Ruby Gonzales.
Fifty vendors from local towns and Telluride, Monticello and Pagosa Springs will be selling goods. The bazaar offers a dizzying array of gift items, including crafts, artwork, pies, candy, knitted goods, leatherworks, metal art and ornaments.
Also on Dec. 2, the Fourth Street Girls — Terris Hair, Ginger Jar and Flying Pig — will host an open house Christmas party from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Wear your favorite ugly Christmas sweater, hat or shoes, and there will be a drawing for $100.
On Dec. 9, from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m., Christmas with Santa will take place at the Galloping Goose museum in downtown Dolores. Santa will arrive on a firetruck, carols will be sung, and the Dolores Library staff will be reading holiday stories. Every kid will receive a Christmas gift bag.
