A pedestrian was struck Tuesday morning while crossing East Main Street in Cortez.
Assistant Fire Chief Shawn Bittle called it a “very minor” accident. A half dozen police officers responded to the scene.
The driver was issued a citation for failing to yield to a pedestrian, according to Cortez Police Patrol Lt. Andy Brock.
The pedestrian was examined by paramedics about 10:30 a.m. and refused further treatment, according to Bittle.
There were no injuries reported or damage to the vehicle.
