The Mancos High School football team is raising funds for their safety and weight room equipment by having a drawing for a Savage .17 HMR rifle with scope. A recommended donation of $5 will get your name in the drawing and can be accepted at P & D Grocery and Integrity Glass in Mancos, Superior Auto in Cortez and Wagner Equipment in Durango.
The drawing is sponsored by Kopp Ranch, Slavens True Value and Cox Conoco. (The winner must be 21 years of age and pass a background check. The winner is responsible for a $25 transfer fee and must pick up the gun locally.)
Also, join the team on Sept. 6 for dinner at Mancos Pizza from 5:30 to close. A portion of the proceeds will be donated to the football fundraiser.
The drawing will be at Homecoming on Oct. 12, 2012.
