Thomas OHara recently joined the board of directors at Southwest Health System, Inc., a non-profit organization. The all-volunteer board directs the management of Southwest Memorial and its affiliated clinic system.
OHara is the founder and owner of Guardian Angel Home Health. He relocated from Farmington to Cortez when he opened his company in 2008. Guardian Angel employs approximately 200 people and provides a full spectrum of home health care services to residents of the Four Corners area.
OHara says he was interested in serving on the SHS board because he sees the need for the hospital to continue to deliver quality care. I feel we need to have a hospital that is vibrant, growing, keeping up with changes, and is responsive to the needs of the community, he said.
