Pet of the Week

Pet of the Week

Power lounging and cuddling are amongst this big pretty girl’s favorite activities. A big white and black adult female, she’s got nice markings, sunflower-gold eyes and a pink nose. This girl is gentle, calm and affectionate, and will make a great companion. Hopefully, someone will step up and spring her from her cage and into a long, happy life. She’s a great cat, and should have all the love she’s been wishing for. The shelter also has lonely dogs and puppies deserving of homes, and other affectionate cats, including a gorgeous little girl tiger tabby with white chest and feet, and lots of cute kittens of every color. The cat room is nearly full, and these pets desperately need homes. The shelter is open Monday through Thursday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., and on alternate Fridays; they will be closed this Friday. The fee for adoption includes spaying or neutering, vaccination and microchipping. The shelter hopes to find a stainless-steel infant digital scale, if any medical offices happen to be getting rid of one. They also need donations of non-clumping cat litter, Iams or Purina kitten chow, and cleaning supplies such as unscented bleach. For more information, call the shelter at 565-4910. To view more animals, visit www.petfinder.com or www.petango.com (enter 81321 zip code for each) or www.cityofcortez.com/government/animal_shelter.
