Pedestrian fatalities hit all-time high in Colorado

In 2017, Durango EMS staff responded to 17 car crashes involving pedestrians
A driver was attempting to turn south onto Main Avenue from East College Drive when he struck two pedestrians in the crosswalk in 2013. According to the Colorado Department of Transportation, 93 pedestrians were killed in Colorado in 2017, up 11 percent from 84 pedestrian fatalities in 2016.
