The Crow Canyon Archaeological Center and Mesa Verde National Park are teaming up to offer a two-day professional development opportunity for teachers in the Four Corners area.
On the first day, educators will delve into Pueblo history and archaeology through a workshop on the Crow Canyon campus, Crow Canyon said in a news release. On the second day, educators will explore Mesa Verde National Park – with an emphasis on field trip opportunities.
Participants will receive a $100 per day stipend, and may earn continuing education units while learning about resources available through Mesa Verde National Park. Participants’ feedback may help guide programs at Mesa Verde.
Four Corners-area teachers who serve grades 3-8 are encouraged to apply. The training dates are: grades 3-4 on Aug. 2-3; grades 5-6 on Aug. 6-7; and grades 7-8 on Aug. 9-10.
