Eight musicians performed a classical concert at the Cortez First United Methodist Church on May 20.
According to a news release from Joe Curry, the musicians performed in groups of one to four.
Music performed was composed by Bach, Mozart, Beethoven, Vivaldi, Pachelbel, Telemann, Handel, Kreisler and several others.
“The program began with very calm, beautiful violin and piano music and ended with the exciting and snappy Jewish folk song (violin and piano) ‘Hava Nagila,’” Curry wrote in the press release.
“The audience responded excitedly during the applause sessions with energetic clapping and even some whistles,” he said.
The performers were Joe Curry, Kathrine Johnson, Matthew Johnson, Dani Long, Alex Mohr, Nancy Thomas, Lillian Wakeley and Connie Warren.
