With the concrete stretch going in on Broadway, how about a concrete sidewalk somewhere in the Sahara to go with it? Why concrete? The answer, no doubt, will be that its providing local jobs. Anyone with three eyeballs can see that. The word local appears as some generic term any more. The only thing for certain, however, is that few locals are actually working. It will only serve as a long-term local inconvenience.
