Two proposals for new hospital construction on a single-level basis were presented to the committee studying the matter Wednesday evening, at which time some decisions were made on the future course to be followed in presenting the alternatives available to the public at a later date.
The committee had earlier rejected a two-story addition at the nursing home site and indicated at that time the costs were too high.
The two different plans are similar and call for a 62-bed hospital attached to the nursing home. The nursing home would be enlarged to include 24 more beds, for a total 146-bed project.
