The meeting was directed by Marshall Denton of the county planning department, Carl Dutton gave the major portion of the project work and explained that about $647,000 was budgeted for the area which would build about three to three and a half miles. Construction would start at the point of intersection with Highway 145, which would be at a point just east of the big fill at the top of the hill above the new river bridge.
During the planning phase, the work for seven and a half miles would be done to have the project laid out as far as the George Rogers home just this side of Summit Lake.
The paving would be two 11-foot widths with two 4-foot wide shoulders.
