The agenda promises a busy night. Board members are expected to discuss student issues, and hear a presentation from the new dance club and a report on the Colorado Measures of Academic Success. Board members also will receive an update on the construction project.
Board members are expected to discuss having a celebration when the construction is completed, possibly in February.
Board members are expected to discuss a superintendent evaluation tool, a cell tower contract and bus stops, with a focus on one on Road P.
Currently, parents outside the district drop their children off at the Road P stop near Four Seasons Nursery.
Superintendent Scott Cooper says parents in the afternoon will be able to park on the far side of the Four Seasons Nursery Parking lot soon to improve safety. Cooper hopes that parents can drop their children off on the north side of the road, to improve safety.
A letter is expected to go home with parents to discuss the changes.
In addition, board members are expected to discuss the elementary principal search process. Dolores Elementary School Principal Sherri Maxwell plans to retire at the end of the year.

Where have all the pies gone?
I regret to inform you all that there was no pie smashed in a principal's face on Friday. I had written that the cheerleaders were doing a fundraiser and whoever got the most money donated (Mr. Thurston or Mr. Lankford) would get a pie in their face.
I was told that the assembly was running short on time, and there wasn't enough time to do the stunt.
