Judges roamed Dolores the night of Dec. 18 to pick the winners in the Dolores Chamber of Commerce/Empire Electric Lighting contest.
Winners in each category receive a $50 certificate from Empire Electric, second-place winners receive a $25 certificate from Empire Electric, and third-place winners receive Dolores Cash from the Dolores Chamber of Commerce.
The Pony Expresso won first place in the commercial category. Second-place went to Cozy Comfort, and third-place went to The Naked Moose. Honorable mention went to The Dolores Town Hall.
In the residential category, first place went to the Rodriguez family on Riverside. Second-place went to Judy Williams on North Eighth Street, and third-place went to Tina Archer on North Ninth Street. Honorable mention went to the sailboat on South Eighth Street.
The block on Riverside near the Rodriguez family also won honorable mention for best neighborhood lights.
Judges were also impressed by the Dolores Fire Department display.
The Fire Department's display includes firefighters climbing a ladder and dousing what looks like a fire of Christmas lights.
