One of the reporting parties tried to hike out but was stuck on the opposite side of the lake across from the House Creek Campground. The stranded man built a fire and was located by a deputy.
The other two parties were rescued by boat.
They all advised they were OK, just cold.
Firing up the grill
The Dolores Chamber of Commerce and Visitor Center, 201 Railroad Ave., is firing up the grill on Friday, April 17.

The Chamber of Commerce board and staff will work on projects around the building and invite all comers to drop by and give them a hand.
There will be a cookout/pot luck dinner from 6 to 7 p.m. that will include hot dogs, hamburgers and drinks. Those who attend are asked to bring a side dish.

Bring in some of your old cookbooks, recipes or donate some cookbooks and exchange cookbooks.
Those with favorite recipes are also asked to bring some samples to share.
Biking weather
The weather has been nice, and the trails have been dry up at Boggy Draw.
However, the weather may change this weekend - there's actually a chance for snow.
We will have to see, but we shouldn't complain if it gets muddy again.
River rising
The temperatures warmed up a bit this week, and the river on Tuesday was running at about 450 cfs, according to the USGS.
That is raftable to some in the community. But more snow wouldn't hurt many's feelings when you look at the low lake level.
