Dear Editor:
In spite of events such as Three-Mile Island, Chernobyl and now Japan, I am still an advocate of nuclear power. And I encourage all governments and captains of industry to invest in nuclear power on the condition that it be nuclear fusion. This will simplify the design and implementation of any nuclear power program, since a proven nuclear fusion power source already exists. We call it the Sun, Helios, El Sol, and the Infinite Wisdom of the Universe saw fit to place it about 93 million miles from Earth, making it inaccessible to earthquakes, terrorists and inept technocrats.
We can only hope that this latest nuclear debacle will bring some measure of sanity to the discussion table of global energy policy-makers. So, on the count of three, lets all cross our fingers.
