Mr. and Mrs. Gary Jones traveled to Ft. Collins this past weekend to attend the 16th annual Alumni Officers Conference at Colorado State University. Gary is president of the Montelores Alumni Assn.

The biggest Rainbow trout caught in twelve years and very possibly the largest ever caught out of Ground Hog was hooked by Gerald Tadgett of Grand Junction, Colo. on Sunday, Sept. 17. The big fish weighs 13 lbs. and measures 30 1/2 inches long. The state record for Rainbow trout stands at 16 lbs.

Dedication ceremonies for the San Juan Basin Area Vocational-Technical School, the first vocational center in Southwestern Colorado, will take place on Thursday, September 28 at 6 p.m. Colorado Lieutenant Governor John Vaderhoof will be the speaker for the dedication ceremonies.

Mr. and Mrs. Chuck Lee hosted a pinochle party on Saturday evening. Guests for the evening were Mr. and Mrs. Don McQuaid, Mr. and Mrs. Jim Porter, Mr. and Mrs. Curtis Honaker, Hazel Smith, Callie Lofquist, Helen Fogel and Mary Jane McRae. Don won high for the men and Helen for the women.

Mr. and Mrs. Tom Butler of Santa Clara, Calif. were here visiting Mrs. Butlers parents, Mr. and Mrs. Jack McCracken of Summit Ridge and also Toms parents, Mr. and Mrs. Paul Butler and his grandmother Mrs. Mary Butler of Dolores. They returned home Saturday.
