Catherine Stefanavage is like most people, she has a circle of friends that she relies on, trusts and loves. Only Stefanavages friends arent all alive.
Everyone has a circle of friends, my circle of friends also includes unseen folks, she said recently in a phone interview.
Stefanavage, 54, will be in Dolores on Saturday and for $30 you can have a 30-minute session with her during which she said she will act as a bridge to the spirit world.
My gift is being able to connect or be aware of energies trying to get information to us, she said. I call it being a bridge.
Stefanavage became a stay at home mom when her first son was born, he had severe disabilities, something she said she knew would happen.
I had a vision about my son when I was only 19, she said.
She became an advocate for people with disabilities and families regarding education, home and community- based services, early intervention and other issues.
Less than 6 months after my youngest passed away, I became disabled, unable to care for myself, from the same genetic condition that caused my sons disabilities and took his life and has been the cause of death for that entire family line the last 3 generations. We have a mitochondrial disease. The mitochondria within the cell is unable to turn food into energy. The body is unable to produce enough energy to keep things running properly and sustain life, she said.
On Friday the 13th, November, 2009, Stefanavage received a spiritual healing and now works with others to guide them.
Stefanavage says she helps people control energy.
There are a lot of energies out there we dont want to listen to, she said.
Stefanavage said she works with adults, children and pets.
People dont cross my path unless their spirit guides bring us together, she said.
While Stefanavage said she has at some level or another always been able to connect with the spirit world, she only recently came out of the closet and started helping others and promoting herself.
Stefanavage said she helps people connect with loving energies and believes that many people have the ability to communicate with the spirit world, they just dont listen to it.
Have you ever gone into a building and gone in and said, I dont like it in here, and left? In that moment you are interpreting information from the spirit world, she said.
