CDOT complete resurfacing project.
The Federal Regulatory Energy Commission issued an order saying it has the sole authority to determine the methodology that will be used to calculate the cost to La Plata Electric Association to buyout its contract with Tri-State Generation and Transmission.
The hydroelectric project owned by the city of Cortez and used by the Empire Electric Association is in limbo as the city and co-op await a ratification of their contract by the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission.

The Empire Electric Association annual meeting and election draws a crowd, so this year’s meeting Oct. 8 will move to a larger venue to allow for social distancing. It will be held at Empire Electric’s Engineering & Operations Center, 23999 County Road L.4.
